What an absolute treat it has been, trying out the Colourpop Heart to Get collection, which is a surprisingly wearable, Valentine’s Day edit that somehow manages to incorporate the typical theme of Valentine’s Day, with lots of pinks and sparkles, whilst adding in just the right amount of neutrals and cool tones, resulting in a truly stunning selection of goodies that have really impressed me!
The star of the show is the Heart to Go Eyeshadow Palette (£14) which contains a really good mix of 12 shadows, spanning a variety of textures, shades and finishes. Of course, there are pretty pinks and lilacs, but these are perfectly balanced with a lovely little quad of cool toned mattes. The deep black is shot through with red sparkle and the more shimmery shades have so many dimensions, a couple of them remind me of the shimmers in the recent Danessa Myricks Lightwork VII – I don’t think there is a bigger compliment for a palette! Expect the usual classically brilliant Colourpop formulas spanning across all the finishes.
Next up there are three shades of the Super Shock Blush (£9) and I received Not Your Baby, which is currently my favourite powder blush as the formula is so buttery it feels almost like a cream, yet you still get that firm finish of a powder. Not Your Baby is a pearly shade of baby pink, that gives both light and lift to my pale complexion and is just so pretty and flattering. There are two shades of the Super Shock Blush in the Heart to Go collection; Feeling’s Mutual – a pearly, bubblegum pink and Cuter Than Cupid, which is described as a cherry magenta pearl.
Finally, the beautiful trio of Ultra Glossy Lip Glosses (£7) which are just the prettiest shades ever, wrapped in a lovely, comfortable formula and cute packaging – for £7, what’s not to love?! The two shades I have are 2 Die 4 – sparkling baby pink and Your New Obsession which is a mauve pink. The other shade is Still That Girl which is a bright baby pink.
The collection also features two colourways of the Shadow Stick Duo (£12 each) and a variety of combination sets that allow you to save a few quid, with the full Heart to Get Collection available for £72.
